Give a user permission to attest driving journals

This guide shows how to give a user permission to attest driving journals. It’s suitable if you want a user to be able to attest a driving journal in the system.

When should I use this guide?

  • You want a user to attest driving journals

  • A user is missing permission to attest trips

  • You are setting up roles and access for a user


Prerequisites

  • You are an administrator

  • You have access to the web platform

  • You can log in at login.infobricfleet.com


How to do it

On web

  1. Log in to login.infobricfleet.com

  2. Go to Administration

  3. Open the User management tab

  4. Select the user you want to edit

  5. Click Edit

Enable driving journal access
6. Go to the Access tab
7. Scroll to the Driving journals section
8. Activate Driving journals
9. Enable Trip attesting rights

Limit access to specific vehicles (optional)
10. Go to the Machine access tab
11. Enable Machine access limits
12. Move the vehicles the user should be able to attest:

  • Drag and drop, or

  • Select a vehicle and use the arrows

  1. Click Save

The user can now approve driving journals in the Driving journals module.


If it doesn’t work

  • Make sure Driving journals is activated

  • Check that the user has access to the correct vehicles

  • Ask the user to log out and log in again


Tips!

  • Only give attesting rights to users who should attest trips

  • Use vehicle limits if users should only handle specific vehicles

  • Review permissions regularly to avoid incorrect access
