Attest a driving journal

When should I use this guide?

  • A driver has approved their driving journal and it is ready for attestation

  • You want to confirm and lock a driving journal for a specific period

  • You need to review the attestation status for one or more drivers

The Attest button and attestation controls are only visible if attestation has been enabled for your organisation. If you do not see the Attest button, contact your administrator to check whether the feature is activated.

To attest a driving journal, you as the approver need to log in at login.infobricfleet.se

Requirements

  • Attestation has been enabled for your organisation

  • You have attestation (approver) rights – see the guide: Give a user permission to attest driving journals

  • You are logged in to the web platform at login.infobricfleet.se

How to do it

  1. Click on Driving journals and go to the Overview tab.

  2. You can only attest benefit cars where the driver has already approved their driving log for the period.

  3. Click on the driving journal you want to attest and select Attest. (This button is only visible when attestation is enabled.)

  4. You can also click on a driving journal and then Show details to attest it from the detailed view.

  5. You're done when a circle appears around the icon. The driving journal is now attested and locked for the period.

Troubleshooting

  • The driving journal cannot be attested (benefit car)
    The driver must first approve their driving journal for the period.

  • The “Attest” button is greyed out
    Hover over the button to see why it is inactive.

  • You don’t have permission
    Check that you have attestation (approver) rights – see the guide: Give a user permission to attest driving journals.

  • The Attest button is not visible at all
    Attestation is not enabled for your organisation. Contact your administrator to check whether the feature is activated.

Tip! The Status column shows where in the flow the driving journal is, depending on the icon. Hover over the icon for a text explanation.

Good to know

  • Attestation reminders and notifications are not sent to drivers who have no registered trips for the period.

  • Attestation deadlines may vary depending on your partner integration — for example, Bilreda and Ayvens require attestation by the 5th of each month.

  • Only a driver's approved driving journal can be attested. If the driver has not yet approved their journal, the Attest option will not be available.
