When should I use this guide?
Use this guide when you:
want to connect machine data from Proemion DataPlatform directly to Infobric Machines
have machines or telematics devices that use Proemion
have received a Client ID and Client secret for the Proemion AEMP API
Proemion telematics is used by several machine manufacturers. The integration uses the machine's existing telematics, so you do not need to install a separate Vehicle Tracker to retrieve information through AEMP.
Prerequisites
You need to:
have the Owner or Administrator role in Infobric Machines
use Infobric Machines on the web
have API access for the machines you want to connect
have a Client ID and Client secret for the Proemion AEMP API
Check with Proemion, the machine manufacturer or your dealer that the correct machines are included in the account and that AEMP access is active.
How to connect
Sign in to Infobric Machines.
Go to Telematics â Integrate machines â Machine connections.
Search for Proemion or select the integration on the Inactive tab.
Open the Proemion integration and enter the Client ID and Client secret under Add authentication.
To connect another set of authentication details, select Add another authentication.
Select Connect and collect data.
Complete the Collect data and Complete integration steps.
When the connection is complete, Machines starts retrieving data from Proemion. New machines and values normally appear within one hour after the information has been retrieved.
Which data is displayed from Proemion?
The following information can be displayed in Infobric Machines:
Operating hours: The latest reported value.
Position: The latest reported position.
Engine on or off: Displayed when the machine reports the value.
Fuel used: Displayed when the machine reports the value.
Fuel level: Displayed when the machine reports the value.
Idle hours: Time when the engine was running but the machine was not operating.
The available information depends on the machine model, telematics equipment, machine manufacturer and the values made available for your account.
Snapshot and time-series data
Proemion can provide both the machine's latest available values and recorded values with timestamps. The available time-series data depends on your service with Proemion or the machine manufacturer.
If it does not work
First, check that:
the Client ID and Client secret are correct
AEMP access is active
the correct machines are available in Proemion DataPlatform
the machine has reported data to Proemion
the machine model reports the information you are missing
you have allowed up to one hour for new machines or values to appear
If the authentication details do not work, check them with Proemion, the machine manufacturer or your dealer. Contact Infobric Support if the details are correct but the integration still cannot be completed.
Infobric Machines displays the information received from Proemion. If source data is missing or incorrect, first check it in Proemion DataPlatform.
Tips
Check AEMP access before you start.
Remember that available information may differ between machine manufacturers and models that use Proemion.
