When should I use this guide?
You are reinstalling a Vehicle Tracker using an easy install harness
You want to register the vehicle and install the device in one flow
You want trips to be detected using voltage and vibrations
You are not using an RFID reader
Prerequisites
You have access to the app
You have a Vehicle Tracker available
You have an easy install harness
You know the vehicle’s registration number (or you are installing in a machine without one)
You can read the vehicle’s current odometer value
In the app
Register the vehicle
Open the Installation module.
Tap Select from list or Scan IMEI
If you tapped Select from list
Go to tab "installed"
Find the device you want to reinstall. (Search in top right corner)
Click it and select Move device
If you tapped Scan,
Simply scan the QR-Code
Select Move device
Enter the vehicle’s registration number.
If the vehicle does not have a registration number, continue without it.
Tap Search vehicle data.
Tap Next.
Enter the vehicle’s current odometer value.
Take a photo of the vehicle, choose an existing photo, or continue without a photo.
Enter a vehicle name if you want it to be easier to identify in the system.
If you are installing the Vehicle tracker in a car, you can skip Serial number. This field is mainly used for machines.
Confirm the vehicle details.
If you will be driving this vehicle, set yourself as the driver. Otherwise, skip this step.
Continue without an RFID reader.
Start the installation
Tap Start installation.
Read the information about the different harness types.
Select the guide for easy harness and tap I understand.
When asked how trips should be detected, select Easy install only.
Make sure no other options are selected.
Continue.
Read the information on screen and continue.
Start the wiring guide if you need help connecting the Vehicle tracker.
If you do not need help, skip the wiring guide.
When the Vehicle tracker is connected, continue to verification.
Verify the installation
Wait for server connection to be established.
This usually takes less than 2 minutes when the vehicle is parked outside.
If the vehicle is parked inside a concrete or metal building, it can take up to 15 minutes.
Wait for positioning quality to be established.
If the positioning quality is weak while parked outside, move the Vehicle tracker to a better location with a clearer view of the sky.
If the vehicle is parked inside a building, the positioning quality may appear low even if the installation is correct.
If it does not work
Check that the Vehicle tracker is connected with the easy install harness
Make sure Easy install is selected as the only trip detection option
Check that the vehicle is parked outside during verification
Wait longer if the vehicle is inside a concrete or metal building
Move the Vehicle tracker if it does not have a clear enough view for positioning
Make sure the vehicle data was confirmed before starting the installation
Tips!
For machines without a registration number, you can continue without entering one
The Serial number field is mainly relevant for machines, not standard cars
For best results, drive the vehicle for 2–3 minutes outside after installation
Check the verification result before parking the vehicle indoors again
