When should I use this guide?

Use this guide when you want to:

  • view existing alerts

  • create a location alert

  • change recipients and schedules

  • enable or disable an alert

  • delete a location alert

Requirements

You need the Owner or Administrator role. The User role does not have access to Alerts.

Open Alerts

  1. Sign in to Infobric Machines.

  2. Select Alerts from the main menu.

The page shows the company's alerts. The list includes the alert name and type, whether it is enabled, and the number of recipients.

Alerts with the type Machine apply to all machines in the company. Location alerts apply to the location selected when the alert was created.

Create a location alert

  1. Open Alerts.

  2. Select Add location alert.

  3. Select a location under Select location.

  4. Select Enabled if the alert should be active.

  5. Choose when the alert should be triggered:

    • Arrives at location

    • Leaves location

  6. Select the users who should receive notifications.

  7. Select Notify all new users if future users should automatically be added as recipients.

  8. Add a schedule if the alert should only be active at certain times.

  9. Review the settings and select Create alert.

An alert can only be set up for one location at a time. If a location is not shown in the list, another alert has already been set up for it.

If the location does not exist in Machines, select Create new location.

Select recipients

Under Notifications, select the users who should be notified. Notifications can be sent by email and displayed in the web platform, depending on each recipient's notification settings.

If a selected recipient is greyed out, the user has turned off notifications for that alert. The user remains in the recipient list.

Add a schedule

A location alert without a schedule is always active when Enabled is selected.

If the alert should only apply at certain times, select Create new schedule. You can:

  • use the Workdays, outside working hours template

  • use the Weekends, all day template

  • create an Empty schedule and select the weekdays, start time and end time

You can add more than one schedule to the same alert.

Edit an alert

  1. Open Alerts.

  2. Select the alert name in the list.

  3. Update the available settings, such as:

    • Alert name

    • Enabled

    • recipients

    • Notify all new users

  4. Select Save.

Alert name is required. If the field is left empty, the message Name is required is displayed.

Predefined machine alerts apply to all machines in the company. Individual machines cannot be selected for these alerts.

Disable an alert

  1. Open the alert from the list.

  2. Clear Enabled.

  3. Select Save.

The alert remains available but is no longer active. Active alerts are shown as On in the Active column.

Predefined machine alerts can be disabled but cannot be deleted.

Delete a location alert

  1. Open the location alert from the list.

  2. Select Delete alert.

  3. Review the message in the confirmation dialog.

  4. Select Delete to confirm.

The action cannot be undone. Select Cancel if you want to keep the alert.

If it does not work

Check that:

  • you have the Owner or Administrator role

  • the location is not already used by another location alert

  • Alert name has been completed

  • the correct users are selected as recipients

  • the recipients' own notification settings allow the relevant notification

The Alerts module is not displayed for users with the User role.

Tips

  • Use a clear name that describes the location and event.

  • Check both the alert's recipient list and the user's notification settings if someone does not receive a notification.

  • Use a schedule when the alert is only relevant on certain days or at certain times.

  • The battery alert threshold is changed on the individual machine and is not managed in this guide.
