Connect Dynapac machines through Dynalink using Machine connections

Learn how to connect Dynapac machines through Dynalink to Infobric Machines using Machine connections and which machine data can be displayed.

Written by Oscar Karlsson

When should I use this guide?

Use this guide when you want to connect machines from Dynapac's Dynalink telematics portal directly to Infobric Machines through AEMP without installing a separate telematics device.

In Infobric Machines, the provider is shown as Dynalink. The integration can be configured directly when the provider has the status Inactive.

When the integration is complete, the machines are normally created in Infobric Machines within one hour.

Prerequisites

You need:

  • access to Infobric Machines on the web

  • the Owner or Administrator role

  • access to the relevant machines in Dynalink

  • the Client ID and Client secret for the Dynalink AEMP 2.0 API

Contact Dynapac or your Dynapac dealer if you do not have the required credentials.

Connect Dynalink

  1. Sign in to Infobric Machines.

  2. Open Telematics.

  3. Select Integrate machines.

  4. Open Machine connections.

  5. Search for Dynalink or select the provider under Inactive.

  6. Enter the Client ID and Client secret under Enter authentication.

  7. If you need another set of credentials, select Add another authentication.

  8. Select Connect and collect data.

  9. Continue through Collect data and Complete the integration.

When the connection is complete, Infobric Machines starts collecting the machine data made available by Dynalink. New machines are normally created within one hour.

Which Dynalink data is displayed?

Infobric Machines can display the following data when it is supplied by Dynalink:

  • machine identification and basic machine information

  • hour meter

  • position

  • engine on or off

  • fuel used

  • fuel level

  • idle hours

Availability depends on the machine, its equipment and the data recorded by Dynalink.

Dynalink supplies snapshot data only. This means that Infobric Machines collects the latest available value but does not receive a complete history from the provider.

As a result:

  • data from before the connection is not collected

  • data from a temporary interruption is not recovered

  • short engine runs between data collections can be missed

  • the position represents a current point, not a complete route trail

If it does not work

Check that:

  • you selected Dynalink

  • the Client ID and Client secret are for the Dynalink AEMP 2.0 API

  • the credentials have access to the machines you want to connect

  • all required fields are complete

The Connect and collect data button is not available until all required information has been entered.

If no machines or data appear after the connection, wait up to one hour and try again. If the problem remains, first verify the machines and API access in Dynalink, then contact support.

Infobric Machines displays the information received from Dynalink. Missing or incorrect source data must be checked with Dynapac or your dealer.

Tips

  • Confirm that AEMP access is active in Dynalink before you begin.

  • Use Add another authentication if your machines are split across several Dynalink accounts.

  • Remember that snapshot data does not provide the same history as an integration with time-series data.

  • Learn more at Dynalink.

  • Never include real credentials in screenshots or support messages.
