When should I use this guide?
Use this guide when you:
want to connect machine data from John Deere directly to Infobric Machines
use John Deere Operations Center or JDLink for the relevant machines
can authorize Infobric's access to your organization in John Deere Operations Center
In Infobric Machines, John Deere has status Manual. This means the connection must be configured together with Infobric Support and cannot be completed entirely as self-service.
Prerequisites
You need to:
have the Owner or Administrator role in Infobric Machines
use Infobric Machines on the web
have an active John Deere account for the machines you want to connect
be allowed to authorize access to the organization in John Deere Operations Center
contact Infobric Support to start the connection
Check that the correct machines are available in John Deere Operations Center or JDLink before you start.
How to connect
Sign in to Infobric Machines.
Go to Telematics â Integrate machines â Machine connections.
Search for John Deere.
Confirm that the provider has status Manual.
Contact Infobric Support and state that you want to connect John Deere machines through AEMP.
Follow the instructions from Support.
Sign in to John Deere Operations Center and authorize Infobric's access to your organization when instructed by Support.
When authorization and connection are complete, Machines starts retrieving the data that John Deere makes available. New machines and values normally appear within one hour after the next data retrieval.
Which data is displayed from John Deere?
John Deere provides the latest available information for each machine.
The following information can be displayed in Infobric Machines:
Operating hours: The latest reported value.
Position: The latest reported position.
Engine on or off: An approximate status based on the latest retrieved information.
Fuel used: Displayed when the machine reports the value.
Fuel level: Displayed when the machine reports the value.
Idle hours: Displayed when the machine reports the value.
The available information depends on the machine model, telematics equipment and the values John Deere makes available for your organization.
John Deere provides snapshot data
Snapshot data means that Machines receives the machine's latest known values when information is retrieved. It is not a complete time series of everything that has happened.
This means that:
a short engine run between two retrievals may be missed
the position is the latest retrieved location, not a complete route
history from before the connection was created is not imported
data from an interruption is not retrieved afterwards
If it does not work
First, check that:
the correct machines are available in John Deere Operations Center or JDLink
your John Deere account has the required access
Infobric's access to the organization has been authorized
the authorization is still active
the machine has reported data to John Deere
you have allowed up to one hour for new machines or values to appear
Because the provider has status Manual, do not try to complete the connection yourself.
If no machines or data appear after Support has completed the connection, first check the machines and source data in John Deere Operations Center or JDLink, then contact Infobric Support.
Infobric Machines displays the information received from John Deere. If source data is missing or incorrect, check it with John Deere or your dealer.
Tips
Check that the correct machines are linked to the organization before completing authorization.
Available data may differ between machine models and agreements.
Learn more about JDLink and construction connectivity.
Do not revoke Infobric's access in John Deere Operations Center while the integration should remain active.
Never include account details or other sensitive information in screenshots or ordinary support messages.
