Written by Oscar Karlsson

Common use cases

In Service, you can:

  • see which machines are due for service soon or have overdue service

  • find machines without service settings

  • set service intervals based on engine hours or time

  • report completed service, including for machines without an Infobric telematics unit

  • view previous service and related documents

Requirements

You need:

  • access to Infobric Machines on the web

  • the Pro package

The Owner, Admin and User roles have full access to Service.

Get started

  1. Sign in to Infobric Machines on the web.

  2. Open Service in the menu.

  3. Use the status cards or the service list to find a machine.

  4. Select the machine's row to open the details panel. The Service tab is already selected.

What you can do in Service

Get an overview of service needs

The status cards show:

  • Service completed this week

  • Overdue service

  • Service due soon

  • No service

Select View in list on a card to filter the service list. Select Remove filter to show all machines again.

The Service completed this week card uses the date on which the service was reported. All days of the week are included, and the time follows the time zone in your user profile.

A machine in the service list can have one of the following statuses:

  • Soon – service is due within 30 days

  • Scheduled – service is due more than 30 days from now

  • Overdue – at least one service condition has passed

  • No service – the machine has no active service settings

If both a time interval and an engine-hour interval are used, the condition reached first determines when service is due.

Search, filter and customise the list

The service list can show:

  • machine name

  • status

  • engine hours

  • when the information was last updated

  • engine hours at the next service

  • forecast for the next service

  • previous service

You can search for a machine, sort columns, create filters and choose which columns to display.

Open the machine's service information

Select a machine in the service list to open its details panel.

On the Service tab, you can see:

  • service interval in engine hours

  • service interval in time

  • engine hours at the next service

  • status and forecast

  • description

  • service history

The actions Edit service, Report service and Remove service settings are also available here.

Set when service is due

Select Edit service to enter or change:

  • service interval in engine hours

  • service interval in time

  • engine hours at the next service

  • description

  • documents

A time interval can repeat every month or every year. Enter a start date and how often the interval should repeat.

If you use both engine hours and a time interval, service is scheduled according to the condition reached first.

Select Save to save the settings or Cancel to leave the form without saving.

Report completed service

You can report service manually even if the machine is not connected through an Infobric telematics unit.

  1. Open the machine's Service tab.

  2. Select Report service.

  3. Enter:

    • date

    • time

    • machine hours

    • comment

    • documents

  4. Select Report service when all required information has been entered.

Select Calibrate machine hours if the value in Machines does not match the value shown by the machine. If you select a date in the past, Machines retrieves the machine hours from the selected time. The time defaults to 23:59, but you can change it.

View service history

Historical service entries can show:

  • service date

  • the machine's engine hours

  • comment

  • attached documents

Documents can be in PNG, JPG, JPEG, PDF, DOC, DOCX or TXT format. You can download or delete an attached document. Make sure that you have selected the correct document before deleting it.

Remove service settings

Select Remove service settings if you no longer want to use Service for the machine. This also applies to machines for which service has been reported manually without an Infobric telematics unit.

You must confirm the removal. This action cannot be undone, so make sure that you have opened the correct machine before continuing.

Tips!

  • Use the status cards to quickly focus the list on machines that need attention.

  • Check Last updated when the service assessment is based on the machine's engine hours.

  • If both an engine-hour interval and a time interval are used, service is scheduled according to whichever occurs first.

  • Check the date and time when reporting service or calibrating machine hours.

  • Only add documents that are relevant to the completed service.

  • Check the machine name before saving, reporting or removing service settings.
