When should I use this guide?

Use this guide when you want to:

  • find a specific machine

  • narrow down the list using one or more conditions

  • change the order in which machines are displayed

Requirements

You need to:

  • have access to Infobric Machines on the web

  • have machines in your company's Machines account

Search, filters and sorting work in the same way for Users, Administrators and Owners.

How to do it

Start by signing in to Infobric Machines and selecting Fleet in the main menu.

Search for a machine

  1. Enter a search term in the Search... field.

  2. Wait for the list to update.

  3. Select the machine in the results.

You can search by:

  • name

  • internal ID

  • tag

  • category

  • home depot

  • place

Matching text is highlighted in the list. Total number of machines shows how many machines match.

Filter the machine list

  1. Select Filter.

  2. Under Column, choose what you want to filter by.

  3. Select a condition under Operator.

  4. Enter or select a value under Value.

  5. Select Add filter to add another condition.

  6. Select And if all conditions must be met, or Or if any one of them is enough.

You can filter by Name, Internal ID, Tag, Category, Home depot, Place, Battery level and Telematics status.

Text fields use the Contains condition. Selectable values, such as category or telematics status, use Equals.

When the filter panel is closed, the number beside Filter shows how many filter conditions are active.

Remove filters

  • Select Delete to remove one filter condition.

  • Select Remove all to remove all filter conditions.

Sort the machine list

When the list opens, machines are sorted alphabetically by name by default.

  1. Select the heading of the column you want to sort by.

  2. Select ascending or descending order.

  3. Change the sorting direction to display the values in the opposite order.

You can sort by Name, Internal ID, Tag, Category, Home depot, Place, Battery level and Telematics status. A symbol beside the column heading shows which sorting is active.

You can use search, filters and sorting at the same time.

If it does not work

First, check that:

  • the search field does not contain an old search term

  • the correct filter conditions are selected

  • And and Or are set as required

  • no previous filters remain active, as shown by the number beside Filter

If the search does not return any results, Nothing matched your search is displayed. Select Reset search and try again.

If the filters do not return any results, Nothing matched the filters is displayed. Select Reset filtering and then adjust the filters.

Free-text search does not search by battery level or telematics status. Use Filter to find machines based on those details.

Tips!

  • Filters and sorting are saved for your user and remain after you sign out and sign in again. The search is reset.

  • Use Columns to choose which details are displayed in the list.

  • Select the cog icon and then Compact, Standard or Comfortable to change how closely the table rows are displayed.

  • Use Archived to change whether archived machines are displayed.

  • Combine filters with And to make the selection narrower, or Or to match alternative conditions.
