Turn off or activate the battery alarm for a machine

Learn how to turn off the battery alarm for an individual machine, reactivate it, and change its battery alarm threshold in Machines.

When should I use this guide?

Use this guide when you want to:

  • Turn off the battery alarm for an individual machine.

  • Reactivate a battery alarm that has been turned off.

  • Change the battery alarm threshold for a machine.

Requirements

You need:

  • Access to Machines on the web.

  • Access to the machine you want to update.

How to do it

Turn off the battery alarm

  1. Open Fleet.

  2. Select the machine.

  3. Open Input.

  4. Find Battery alarm threshold.

  5. Turn off the toggle.

Alarm off is displayed. The change is saved immediately for the selected machine.

Reactivate the battery alarm

  1. Turn on the toggle next to Battery alarm threshold.

  2. Enter the threshold in volts.

  3. Select the check mark to save.

When the alarm is active, the threshold is shown next to Battery alarm threshold and as a threshold line in the Machine voltage over time chart.

Change an active battery alarm threshold

  1. Select the pencil icon next to Battery alarm threshold.

  2. Enter the new threshold in volts.

  3. Select the check mark to save.

Select the X to cancel without saving.

If it does not work

Check that:

  • You have selected the correct machine.

  • You are on the Input tab.

  • You have entered a threshold before reactivating the alarm.

  • You selected the check mark to save the new threshold.

Tips

  • Only turn off the battery alarm for machines from which you do not want to receive battery alarms.

  • When you reactivate the alarm, you must enter a new threshold.

  • Check the Machine voltage over time chart when choosing a suitable threshold.
